Davis & Hummingbird Cottage as our central point - turned out I made a great choice - very easy access to all points around area - highly recommend Balmorhea State Park - great swimming place - cottage very well furnished, everything we needed - loved Webster the kitty

Second visit - like the cycling in the area. Lucca (dog) likes the yard & walks into town. Hummingbird Cottage is a great place to stay one night or a week or longer. Highly recommend any of the three cottages for cyclists. I'm sure there will be a third trip.

We arrived on March 24 and stayed four full days. We used the cottage as headquarters from which to tour Ft. Davis, Alpine, Marfa, McDonald Observatory and the whole area. We found the cottage clean and comfortable and perfect for our purpose. We hope to return here and we would highly recommend the Hummingbird Cottage to anyone.
